Algorithmic Art

I spent the evening working through how to render with algorithms the same artwork I painted on a pipe in Spain last year. The idea is to cut down on the art assets needed for animation and handle much of it with tweening and kinematics. The abstract look of the characters avoids hand-drawn art at the joints. Although I spent a lot of time mocking up characters with this style, I’m still reluctant to use it after watching crappy GoAnimate cartoons that have those same floating heads and hands. I might revert to something more traditional.
