Here are new sound effects I used in the latest episode. I license these through Creative Commons from their original authors. The sounds I licensed this way are all hosted at freesound.org, and you can click on links below to hear them.
- “Teashop” by ptrckd – used for the interior ambiance of the McDonald’s in Paris.
- “Entrainement Football” by David Schaffer – for the sound of rowdy youth approaching Jenna. In this sample, for some reason, one kid yells out the name an Italian fashion designer.
- “Street sounds in Montmarte, Paris, France” by mxsmanic – for the background outside the McDonald’s in Paris. This particular recording has a large variety of things happening in it, and is pretty amazing.
- “Cellfone ring” by regenpak – for a cellphone ringing. A bland cellphone ring is really unrealistic, but since everybody has their own ringtones, these days, it’s harder to get a recognizable ringtone. The “classic” ringtones from a decade back are definitely copyright-protected too.
- “key drop 04” by Cypriots L. Brazanthr – for the sound of Sean’s IPhone landing on the ground.
- “bongo drum” (various versions) by Hubert Michel – This guy sampled a bunch of beats on his bongo drum. And I patched them together different ways to make Sean Shankley’s Starbuck beat poetry.
- “flute 1” by jaava73 – Combined with Hubert Michel’s drums, this flute-playing made the perfect 1960’s beat poetry music. I listened to a lot of flute playing samples, and this one was the jazziest.
