Is it a fort or a polystyrene deathtrap?
So I emptied out this little room to move all my recording stuff into. I didn’t have all the acoustic foam yet to treat the room so it would sound not echoey. And it actually sounded horrible. Really, really bad. Sean was coming over to record, and I didn’t want to move all the gear back out of the room. So I stuck a bunch of blankets and polystyrene sheets into the room to dampen the sound. And it ended up looking like I was building a fort. Anyhow, it worked. The recording was still echoey, but good enough. Next step–put foam pads on the walls.
