Since 2014, we’ve been working on an animated science fiction serial called The Robot Hole. It’s comedy scifi similar in style to Futurama or Rick and Morty. If you’ve enjoyed the Machine Court podcast, you’ll be right at home with the weird robotic ways of returning characters like Spogey and Mr. Stomps.
I think it’s bad luck to hype The Robot Hole before it’s ready, but I know there are people that have been following our effort, and I’d like to keep you up to date. Here’s where we’re at with it as of December 27th, 2015 :
- Scripts for six 22-minute episodes have been written by Erik Hermansen and Mark Arenz.
- We recorded all the dialogue for those episodes with our incredible cast.
- All of the animated characters have been designed and rigged by Bettina Throckmorton.
- Much of the 3D world and associated scenery are done.
- We’ve acquired an original soundtrack from professional composer Photay.
- Signed a publishing contract to put an audio drama version of The Robot Hole on Audible.
At some point, as the animation starts coming together, I plan to post some more clips. Here are some older test videos we’ve done up:
